Tom Cunliffe is a multidisciplinary artist whose journeying between media such as printmaking, painting and sculpture imbues his written art with a sense of transgressive play. He relishes formal challenges and his work moves seamlessly from the representational to the abstract. Cunliffe’s comfort with the aesthetics of sexuality, imperfection and deconstruction allows his language to shimmer with an unpredictable sensuality.

Originally from Ellesmere Port in Cheshire, Cunliffe went on to study Fine Art at the University of Brighton. He now lives in Hove and is a former Vice-Chairman of the Printmakers Council. In 2007 he co-edited the anthology Poetry South. His verse has appeared in a variety of publications including The New Writer, Blithe Spirit, Lynx, The Stony Thursday Book and Contemporary Haibun.
