Poet, ex-monk and member of Ireland's elite Aosdána (limited to 250 living artists who have produced a distinguished body of work) Ciaran O'Driscoll returns to Brighton to launch his new novel A Year's Midnight from Pighog - a powerful, witty and poetic evocation of a man's quest to centre himself.

-- EXCLUSIVE DISCOUNT!

To celebrate this launch of this, Pighog's first novel, we're deducting the price you pay on the door from the cost of one copy of A Year's Midnight!

That means if you've paid full price on the door, you get it for £5! If you've bought a concessional ticket, it costs only £7! --

In a winter of discontent in Italy, George is troubled - by a field. It seems to be trying to tell him something. As he loses his relationship with his partner and falls in love with someone else, George staggers through drinks, dogs and despair trying to avoid a poltergeist and the darkness in his childhood.

Ciaran will talk about his life and work and will read from his new book before answering questions from the audience. Ciaran will be introduced on the night by very special guest host Susanna Jones, who has recently published her fourth novel, When Nights Were Cold.
