
Slingsby is a writer and translator who works as Assistant Editor for Pighog Press, in which role he has helped develop and promote numerous publications. He studied English Literature at the Universities of Durham and Sussex. In 2010 the latter awarded him his doctorate for the thesis The Sacred and the Esoteric: Locating Mary Butts' Modernism. In 2011 he had the pleasure of working with Nicole Cecilia Delgado to compile and translate Hallucinated Horse: New Latin American Poets (Pighog Press, 2012). Slingsby regularly publishes essays on art history in The Art Collector magazine and is currently working on his first collection of short stories.
