Slingsby is a writer and translator who worked as Assistant Editor for Pighog from 2010 - 2013. In this role he helped develop and promote numerous publications. He studied English Literature at the Universities of Durham and Sussex. In 2010 the latter awarded him his doctorate for the thesis The Sacred and the Esoteric: Locating Mary Butts' Modernism. In 2011 he had the pleasure of working with Nicole Cecilia Delgado to compile and translate Hallucinated Horse: New Latin American Poets (Pighog, 2012). Slingsby regularly publishes essays on art history and the art market as well as writing poetry and short fiction.
