Sally Brown was the Joint Winner of the Pighog Short Story Competition for Writers of Children's Fiction 2010.

Sally lives in Canterbury and is currently studying for an MA in creative writing at Canterbury Christ Church. "The Toilet Monster" is the first children's story she has written and its success has inspired her to step away from her usual chick-lit and fantasy comedies. Now the Sally-child has been allowed out to play and it is currently filling up the hard drive with monsters. Kids!
